August 2016 - August 2018 - HQ Network Operations Research Analyst (Sr.) - US Postal Service. Enterprise Analytics - USPS HQ. Project Manager of MHTS (Mail History Tracking System), WebEOR (End of Run), PATH (Processing Architecture Translation Hub), and RPG (Run Plan Generated – in EOR). Product Manager of Web MCRS (Mail Condition Reporting System). PATH was built from the ground-up on a concept. RPG's enhanced-functionality was previously a stalled project that was implemented and helped improved operations plans. Perform CAT (Customer Acceptance Testing) for systems. Created requirements based on stakeholders’ needs, and ensured that they were met. Worked with developers on funding and ROMs/cost-estimates, savings analysis. Ensured that databases were properly updated, software updates implemented, ensured functionality, and provided security. Analysis of data related to the above, and other systems as well. Created VBA routines for Microsoft products as necessary. Developed SQL to interact with systems, and high-level needs.
April 2015 - August 2016 - Sales Performance Analyst - US Postal Service. Sales - USPS HQ. My job entailed developing high-level queries from our Oracle database, creating processes to more quickly analyze data, using MicroStrategy's Visual Insight for data-visualization, making automated procedures with VBA to gather and view data more quickly, and helping various high-level stakeholders with their reporting and analysis needs.
August 2014 - April 2015, with a brief reprieve while assisting the ATO (below) - US Postal Service. Network Ops - USPS HQ (but domiciled at the Cincinnati NDC). I served as the Program Manager for the Mail History Tracking System. I was responsible for the program management and systems maintenance, and served as the main POC. I coordinated all system upgrades/outages with HQ and all field users. I worked with the vendor for all report and data requests. Performed all Customer Acceptance Testing (CAT). Coordinated all new report testing (SIT – System Integration Testing/CAT) and scheduled all Prod releases. Worked with Engineering Systems/IT PM on budget, maintenance, new queries and requests from other groups, and coordinated with other systems. Responsive to internal customers' needs. Provided field users information to prepare for any planned outages. Prioritized data requests for vendor based on internal needs. Ensured that all modifications were done as required. Helped internal customers and groups as needed with budget and maintenance requests. Studies conducted to ascertain proposed enhancement benefits (potential cost-savings from time-avoidance). I was also responsible for implementing a new user interface and ensuring that it was properly developed, while overseeing various other projects, including the WebEOR/WebMODS surveys from every major plant in the nation, and also helped others with various processes as needed. Related to this, I have also done some CAT for updates to WebEOR's release.
November 2014 - December 2014 - US Postal Service. Network Ops - USPS HQ (but domiciled at the San Francisco THS). For a few weeks, I assisted Air Transportation Operations (ATO), while also working as the Program Manager for the Mail History Tracking System.
June 2014 - July 2014, February 2015 - April 2015 - US Postal Service - Cincinnati NDC - Sharonville, OH. Supervisor Information Systems (detail/hired). Supervised several EAS (Executive Administrative Supervisory) employees, while ensuring that numerous servers (such as FMPCS, security, YMS, PIVMS, NGTC, etc.), work stations, routers, switches, and systems functioned properly. Updated server software as needed. Scheduled planned outages. Implemented systems as needed. Assisted with duties as Supervisor Information Systems while on HQ detail (above), while also assisting with other matters at the NDC as needed. Received award for work as Supervisor Information Systems.
October 2013 - January 2015 - US Postal Service - Cincinnati MPO - Cincinnati, OH. Product Information Quality Analyst. Responsible for several employees, who updated the Address Management System database for the Ohio Valley District. Also, responsible for having stations audited throughout the district to ensure that they were doing their job properly. Assisted other departments such as Delivery Programs with high-level reports for the district as needed. District admin of WebEES/WebSPMS and eUARS. In June 2014, began detail, first as Supervisor Information Systems (which became permanent in February 2015) and next as program manager of MHTS.
January 1996 - October 2013 - US Postal Service - Cincinnati NDC - Sharonville, OH. Computer room. Also, completed the Associate Supervisor Training Program (16 weeks total - for both customer service and plants), and served as a supervisor for a while. Went back to being a computer operator, which was later changed to Information Systems Coordinator/Information Systems Assistant/Process Control Assistant. Responsibilities included PBX (telephone UNIX-based server), making changes to the UNIX-based FMPCS sorting servers, creating reports, designing programs, creating databases and queries, troubleshooting systems, re-imaging computers, training and assisting users, IT security, etc.
1998-2003 - Self-employed real estate investor. Northern KY. While working others jobs, purchased real estate investment property, eventually securing 21 units (single-families, duplexes, four-families) for rental purposes. Rehabbed many units.
1995 - Service Transport - Cincinnati, OH. Responsible for inventorying items unloaded from trailers.
1994-1997 - Builders Realty - Florence, KY. Realtor. While working others jobs, assisted buyers and sellers with real estate transactions. This real estate company has gone out of business due to the broker, Jim Helton, retiring, in part due to health issues. See the Certificates section for former Realtor license.
1988-1994 Saalfeld Paper Co. - Cincinnati, OH. Newsletter editor/truck router. Designed, edited, and typeset the company newsletter using Aldus (Adobe) PageMaker. Used an AS 400 mainframe and UPS's RoadNet system to route trucks. Inventoried goods.
